Thesuccessful candidate will be a flexible, tenacious individual who works wellboth independently and as part of a team. Emotional intelligence is crucial, asis an ability to work with people from all walks of life, in a non-judgmentalmanner. The successful candidate will:
- Be qualified to at least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a related discipline
- Have experience of working within the community, particularly with childrenand their families
- Have a strong knowledge of safeguarding and either been, or possess thedesire to be, a safeguarding lead
- Have the ability to have challenging conversations with parents but be ableto maintain a professional and approachable manner at all times
- Have excellent communication skills including the ability to make good use ofICT Have a strong commitment to multi-agency working
Experienceof safeguarding, carrying out family-based assessments, working in amulti-agency manner and delivering training to parents would be advantageous.Training will be available for the successful candidate as well as theopportunity to network with other Parent Support Advisers within the ECM trust.
