Atheray Stone are looking for a Bid Writer to work for a Global Tier 1 contractor within their UK work winning team. This will include working on large scale bids within the infrastructure, defense and data centres sector. This role will be based out of the businesses Central London office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write high-quality responses for PQQs, tenders and bid submissions.
  • Develop compelling content including case studies, CVs, project experience and tailored responses.
  • Support Bid Managers, Business Development Managers and the Head of Bid Management throughout the bid process.
  • Edit, proofread and format tender documents to ensure accuracy, consistency and quality.
  • Facilitate and support storyboarding sessions with subject matter experts.
  • Create supporting graphics, flowcharts, diagrams and organisational charts for submissions.
  • Review draft responses to ensure they fully answer client requirements and provide feedback to contributors.
  • Maintain bid documentation and the Document Management System for future use.
  • Re-use and improve existing bid content while contributing to knowledge management.
  • Work to tight deadlines and support the timely submission of bids.

Essential Experience & Knowledge

  • Previous bid/proposal writing experience.
  • Experience producing high-quality tender and submission documents.
  • Technical understanding of civil engineering and the built environment.
  • Excellent written English with strong proofreading and editing skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Word/MS Office skills.
  • Experience working within the bidding process.
  • Knowledge of construction, Health & Safety and business systems.
  • Ability to enhance documents using graphics, images and formatting.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and Adobe Creative Suite is desirable.
