Atheray Stone are looking to speak to experienced Quality Managers or a Senior Quality Manager to work for a large principal contractor based in the South West. The contractor specialise in a variety of infrastructure sectors including Rail, Highways and Nuclear, and are open to a variety of experience.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in Quality Management working for a main infrastructure contractor
- Experience within the Civil Engineering sector
- Chartered Quality Professional
- Commutable to Head Office based in Swindon
- Ideally experience working on larger scale projects, rather than small frameworks
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head of Quality with quality initiatives (such as World Quality Day).
- Perform activities to train and educate staff in quality matters.
- Carry out Quality Improvement Projects.
- Support ECI/Bid Activity where detailed quality deliverables are needed.
- Act as the initial Quality Manager in the start-up of new projects.
- Perform supply chain assessment and development duties as required.
- Carry out ISO 9001 auditing activities.
- Deputise for Head of Quality Management when not available.
- Assist the Head of Quality with Strategic Quality Planning.
- Provide quality support and documentation for contract bids, including developing Project Quality Plans and other deliverables.
- Carry out quality planning activities including developing contract Quality Plans and deliverables.
- Provide Quality Management Lead role for projects during Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) and Start-Up phases.
- Assist the Head of Quality Management in ensuring quality procedures are reviewed and revalidated.
