We are looking for an experienced nurse, either currently working as a Deputy Home Manager or an experienced nurse looking to move into a management role. This role is based within our client's large, well regarded ARBD service in the Castlemilk area of Glasgow and offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with the Home Manager in delivering high quality care within the service.

As Deputy Home Manager, you will ensure the training needs of all staff are met, monitor the duty rota, staff attendance and be comfortable and confident in acting accordingly to any issues that may arise. You will ensure the maintenance of high standards of care and monitor staff conduct and performance.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain good communication with residents, their relatives and where possible to involve them in planning the individual resident care.
  • Ensure that care interventions are accurately and promptly recorded.
  • Ensure that all care is carried out in accordance with the home’s policies and procedures.
  • Participate in carrying out staff appraisals and staff supervision on a regular basis, and maintain a satisfactory record.
  • Monitor the duty rota covering a four-week period.
  • Ensure the manager is fully aware of any untoward accident/incident to residents, staff and visitors and that procedures and policies are followed correctly.
  • Participate in the assessment of all prospective residents prior to their admission to the home.
Requirements:
  • Valid NMC Pin.
  • To have held a position of RGN or RMN for at least 2 years within a Care Home setting.
  • Be able to demonstrate ability to lead a team.
  • Be able to provide 2 references from a healthcare setting.
