Position Overview

At Apollo, we are a global team of alternative investment managers committed to delivering uncommon value to our investors and shareholders. With over 30 years of expertise across Private Equity, Credit, and Real Estate, Apollo is recognized for its integrated platform, innovative investment strategies, performance orientation, and exceptional talent. Transformation Management (TM) is evolving into Apollo’s central engine for enterprise-wide change. As Apollo continues to scale into a diversified global financial services platform, this role is critical to industrializing execution, enabling private-to-public convergence, scaling client solutions, and modernizing our operating model globally. This position will lead the EMEA Transformation Management team and drive large-scale, cross-functional transformation programs across strategy, operations, data, technology, and commercial execution — shifting the firm from fragmented project delivery to horizontal, KPI-driven enterprise programs. This is a high-visibility leadership role requiring strong commercial judgment, operational rigor, and the ability to influence across business units and senior stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Enterprise Transformation Leadership: Lead horizontal, multi-workstream transformation programs (3–5 FTE team structure). Translate strategic priorities into sequenced, executable roadmaps. Drive alignment across Credit, Insurance, CPS, M&A, Data, Engineering, and Innovation. Establish measurable KPIs and define success metrics at the capability level.
  • Operating Model & Capability Design: Design and implement scalable target operating models (TOMs). Transition execution from siloed vertical initiatives to end-to-end horizontal capabilities. Distinguish and optimize “alpha” core capabilities versus “beta” activities appropriate for outsourcing or utility models. Embed automation, AI, and digital enablement into change programs to enhance scale and efficiency.
  • Excellence in Change Management: Apply a unified methodology to assess, prioritize, and measure change investments. Drive transparency around ROI, impact, and commercial outcomes. Standardize governance, intake, scoping, and delivery playbooks. Reduce manual processes through data-driven prioritization and automation.
  • Strategic Execution & Commercial Impact: Support product launches, market expansion, M&A integration, and digital modernization efforts. Partner with business leaders to align transformation initiatives with revenue growth and risk mitigation. Provide forward-looking capacity modeling and resource planning. Develop executive-ready materials for Steering Committees and C-suite discussions.
  • Talent & Team Development: Operate within TM’s scalable pyramid structure. Lead and mentor Directors and Associate Directors. Participate in Career Roundtables (CRT) and structured development frameworks. Serve as Coach or Program Sponsor for high-potential team members.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 15+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, consulting, asset management, or corporate strategy, with demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary teams across global environments.
  • Strong financial services acumen (credit, insurance, asset management experience preferred).
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to synthesize complex issues clearly in written and verbal communication.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments while balancing competing priorities.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills, including executive presence and the ability to drive alignment among senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated experience leading operating model redesign, digital transformation, or enterprise change initiatives.
  • Strong technology orientation with a focus on automation, process industrialization, and AI-enabled workflows.
  • Human Capital transformation experience or interest a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
