Citizenship initiatives launched in 2022, the Apollo Opportunity Foundation (the “Foundation”) expands opportunity for historically underrepresented groups in our communities through philanthropic investments in career education, workforce development, and economic empowerment. Apollo Global Management is seeking a full-time Program Associate to support efforts across Citizenship and the Apollo Opportunity Foundation across Apollo’s United Kingdom and Europe (“EMEA”) and Asia-Pacific (“APAC”) offices. This position will report to the Global Head of Citizenship.
There are a variety of projects and responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:
- Manage global Citizenship Apollo Communities Together (“ACT”) program in EMEA and APAC, creating in-person and virtual employee engagement opportunities including event ideation, coordination, communications, and execution across issue areas and regions; collaborate closely with all regional ACT Teams to motivate all employees to give back to local communities via volunteerism, board service, and more activities.
- Perform ad hoc research and contribute to projects to drive the overall success of Citizenship.
Competencies:
- A minimum of 2 – 4 years of relevant experience in financial services, corporate foundation or Corporate Social Responsibility work.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills with demonstrated mastery of PowerPoint and Excel.
- Experience with Benevity preferred.
- Possesses a clear passion and commitment to mission-driven work, and an energy and drive to motivate others to get involved; positive, optimistic outlook with a dedication to fostering a sense of purpose across the entire organization.
- Project Management Proficiency: Demonstrates strong project management skills, highly organized and detail oriented. Capable of swiftly translating discussion/thoughts into an actionable plan and tracks progress towards goals. Proficient in analytical and critical thinking, excelling in the investigation and assessment of qualitative or quantitative data. Financial modeling, impact measurement, data management, and data analysis skills a must.
- Enthusiastic, collaborative team player who can effectively partner cross-functionally and internationally. Possesses emotional intelligence and humility, doesn’t seek credit for work but rather celebrates the team’s wins, and embraces constructive feedback with a growth mindset.
