We are seeking a Hotels Revenue Accountant to join our team.

Hotels Revenue Accountant

Reports To: Director of Finance and Business Partner-Hotels

Job Purpose: Manage the financial records of our hotels regarding revenue and income, analyze financial data, prepare reports, ensure compliance, and advise on revenue maximization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record and report revenue transactions in compliance with accounting principles.
  • Identify and analyze revenue issues, recommend solutions.
  • Prepare revenue schedules and reports.
  • Review revenue data for accuracy.
  • Ensure revenue recognition aligns with company policy.
  • Collaborate with teams for accurate revenue recognition.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with controls and policies.
  • Update job knowledge through educational opportunities and professional organizations.
  • Transfer revenue daily from PMS into Netsuite, working with Finance Assistants.
  • Own the P&L from a revenue perspective.
  • Attend P&L reviews with hotel teams and GMs.
  • Use segment analysis and analytics software like Infor for insights and projections.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including building complex reports.
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or studying towards, with at least five years of experience.
  • Experience with large data sets and analysis projects.
  • Experience presenting insights and driving actions.
  • Knowledge of Netsuite, Fairmas, or similar tools.
  • Attention to detail and ownership of output accuracy.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of hospitality commercial analysis and statistics.
  • Hospitality industry experience is beneficial.
  • Experience with controls and governance like P2P, R2R, and O2C.
