We are looking for a Painter & Decorator to support our homes across Cambridge, helping to ensure they remain comfortable and enjoyable places for our residents, team members and visitors.
About the role: As our Painter & Decorator, you will be responsible for completing painting, decorating and minor repair work across all homes within the Athena group, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and within a timely manner. This role would suit someone based around Cambridge who is happy to travel to support our care homes within the region. You will work closely with teams in each home, playing an important role in maintaining environments that our residents are proud to live in and our teams are proud to work in.
Salary: £16.50 per hour, plus mileage and expenses as per Athena’s policy.
Hours: 0-hour contract, working across all sites within the Cambridge region.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure all painting and decorating work across the homes is completed to a high standard.
- Address snagging items promptly and efficiently.
- Respond to requests from home teams regarding painting, decorating and wallpapering.
- Carry out minor repairs where required within the scope of the role.
- Ensure all equipment and working environments are safe and compliant at all times.
Training, Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience in all aspects of painting, decorating and wallpapering.
- Ability to consistently achieve a high-quality finish.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good record-keeping skills and ability to complete relevant paperwork accurately.
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
