Athena is looking for an experienced Conference and Banqueting Manager who can oversee and support all departments including bars, restaurants, and conference catering. The role involves managing the operation for functions, weddings, banquets up to 300 guests and outdoor events of 1,000+ guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversight and support to all departments – conference, bars, restaurant, and leisure provision.
- Management and development of team members.
- Ensure the smooth day‑to‑day running of all bars and catering operations.
- Deliver a consistent first‑class service to guests.
- Maintain high company standards across the operation.
- Monitor sales activity in line with company policy.
- Oversee key departmental controls for sales, GP, and NP targets.
- Support the company in the achievement and maintenance of quality awards.
Key Attributes
- Previous experience as a Conference and Banqueting Manager, Assistant Manager, Food and Beverage, Shift Leader, or similar roles in a comparable-sized branded or independent operation.
- Solid experience in conference and banqueting, including weddings.
- Ability to build on existing business and add value.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards across the operation.
