Athena Sports Group is seeking a full-time Team Clothing & Merchandise Manager to oversee all aspects of team kit, technical apparel, and merchandise across Emirates GBR SailGP, GB1 – America’s Cup Team, and the Athena Pathway Programme (APP). This role offers a unique opportunity to coordinate the most important aspect to performance of elite sailing teams competing on a global stage. The role will be responsible for the end-to-end management of team clothing and merchandise operations, ensuring all athletes, shore crew, and stakeholders are equipped with the correct products, delivered on time and within budget. The role will also support the event and hospitality delivery for the teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and procurement of all team clothing and equipment across GB1, Emirates GBR, and APP
  • Manage ordering of kit in line with budgets, sizing data, and team-specific needs
  • Oversee sourcing and purchasing across apparel, technical gear, PPE, and accessories
  • Manage relationships with multiple partners and suppliers
  • Ensure correct branding and quality standards across all kit
  • Coordinate global distribution of kit across multiple locations
  • Support on-the-ground delivery at events, including travel where required
  • Manage stock, inventory, and storage solutions
  • Maintain master kit handout trackers and reporting
  • Oversee guest and VIP merchandise gifting and personalisation
  • Support the events and hospitality team in delivery of high quality events for our commercial partners

Background & Experience:

  • Degree, apprenticeship, relevant qualification or equivalent practical experience in apparel, stock management, hospitality, logistics or operations roles.
  • 2+ years’ experience in apparel, logistics, or operations roles
  • Experience in sport or event environments preferred
  • Experience in supplier and product management
  • Understanding of technical apparel and sizing
  • Experience with inventory and distribution management

Contract Details:
