We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) to join a stable, team-oriented anesthesia practice located just a short drive from Charlotte. This established group provides anesthesia services across two sites, each offering a diverse and rewarding case mix. New graduates are welcome, and experienced providers will appreciate the flexibility, camaraderie, and outstanding compensation structure.
Case Mix by Site
- Site 1: General surgery, Urology, Orthopedics (including total joints and some spinals), Spine (neuro spine), Vascular (primarily carotids; some arterial lines), OB, Healthy pediatric, ENT
- Site 2: General and laparoscopic surgery, Robotics, Neuro (spine and head), Orthopedics, OB, Urology, Vascular, Healthy pediatric, ENT, dental, and ophthalmology, Cardiac services (TAVRs, open hearts, cath lab cases) – optional
Note: About 50% of staff perform spinals and arterial lines. You are not required to perform these but can learn if interested.
Scheduling & Call
- Current Need: 12-hour shifts
- Open Shifts: 8, 10, and 12 hours
- Call: Entirely optional
- Second Call (from home): 10-hour shift + 5p–7a beeper
- First Call (when open): 16- or 24-hour in-house
- Call Pay: Weekday Beeper: $675, Friday Beeper: $700, Saturday/Sunday: $1,100, First Call Stipend: +$100 (weekdays), +$200 (weekends/holidays), Heart Team: +$110 per call shift
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary + additional income opportunities
- Many providers earn $30,000+ above base through call and overtime
- Retention Bonus: $30,000 over 3 years
- Relocation Assistance: $5,000
- Overtime: 1.5x after 40 hours/week
- Benefit Allowance: $14,000/year (can be used tax-free for health, disability, CME, dues, etc. Unused amount is taxed and paid out)
- PTO: 6 weeks starting
- Profit Sharing: 4% after first year (fully vested, based on base pay and OT)

- Required: Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA), Eligible for South Carolina licensure
- Preferred: Interest in spinals, arterial lines, or optional cardiac cases, Strong team-oriented mindset and flexible personality
