We are hiring per diem Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants (COTA) to join our dynamic care team at Plymouth Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Plymouth! As a COTA, you assist in the provision of collection of assessment data, and direct treatment to a general rehab caseload under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist and participate in clinical program development.

Education & Experience:
  • As a minimum, an associate degree in occupational therapy assistant from an accredited program.
  • CEUs per state licensure requirements.
  • Current licensure by the applicable state agency.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • May perform additional assigned administrative duties such as assigned by Rehab Program Manager.
  • Under a physician's order, provides direct resident treatments in accordance with an established plan of care. Treatment venue includes individual, supervised, and group.
  • Contributes to the team meeting and decision making process as defined by the program.
  • Consults with and trains patients, residents and caregivers.
  • Monitors efficiencies on an ongoing basis in collaboration with supervisor.
  • Documents activities according to the company's clinical documentation system on a timely basis.
  • Demonstrates consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations.
  • Participates in clinical program development and implementation.
  • May perform additional duties as requested by supervisor.
  • Participates in quality improvement activities.
  • Responsible for service and operational excellence of all assigned activities to ensure the delivery of quality services and/or outcomes required to meet or exceed the expectations of those utilizing or impacted by the department.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Standing and walking for significant amounts of time is necessary.
  • Communication skills needed for directing staff, customer relations, marketing activities.
  • Ability to perform documentation needs, manipulations of equipment and direct patient care.
  • Requires intense attention and concentration.
  • Ability to cope with periodic stress associated with changing census and staffing demands.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage time effectively for self and others.
  • Ability to deal with a wide range of personality types, ages, and diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to articulate and comprehend the English language.
