As the Maintenance Operative at Amberley Hall Care Home, you will be responsible for ensuring there is a safe and pleasant environment for all residents and employees, working closely with their teams to provide strong leadership and inspiration ensuring the highest service standards are achieved.
About the role
Reporting to the General Manager, the Maintenance Operative is responsible for ensuring all maintenance checks are conducted, and that the home is a safe environment for residents, team members and visitors whilst maintaining a high quality of service within the home.
Salary: £13.89 per hour.
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, worked on a rota basis from Monday to Friday.
Home Location: Baldock Drive, King's Lynn, England, PE30 3DQ.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure that all minor repairs and plumbing are fixed within a timely manner.
- Ensure that all electrical equipment, drainage systems and the boiler house is maintained and repaired if required.
- Ensure that the decoration of the home is to the highest standard and snagging items dealt with in a timely manner.
- Overall responsibility for carrying out weekly tests of the emergency systems within the home.
Training, Skills & Experience Required
- Experience within a similar maintenance role, ideally within a healthcare environment, is essential.
- Excellent written, non-verbal and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of and competence in building maintenance.
- Good computer skills in order to complete reporting duties.
