Ashlynn Grange is an exceptional 153-bed care home located in Peterborough. The home is renowned for its surrounding gardens, which feature flowers and a variety of vegetables. The level of care provided is outstanding, with staff engaging residents in a full programme of activities and live performances on our outdoor stage. Our newly refurbished café offers residents and visitors a selection of fresh tea, coffee, and cakes daily.
About The Role
The Maintenance Support will work closely with the Maintenance Operative to manage and ensure a safe and pleasant environment for all residents and staff. You will collaborate with wider teams to provide strong leadership and inspiration, ensuring the highest service standards are achieved.
Salary: £12.21 per hour
Shift Pattern: 35 hours per week, on a rota basis from Monday to Sunday.
Home Location: Bretton Gate, Peterborough, PE3 9UZ
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the decoration of the home is maintained to the highest standard, with timely resolution of snagging items.
- Perform minor repairs and plumbing tasks promptly.
- Manage the maintenance of the refuse area and oversee the removal of clinical waste and rubbish.
- Maintain and repair electrical equipment and boiler systems as required.
- Conduct weekly, monthly, and annual tests of equipment and systems within the home.
Training, Skills & Experience Required:
- Experience in a similar maintenance role is essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
