As an Activities Coordinator at Avocet Court Care Home, you will be responsible for supporting the provision of meaningful, enjoyable, engaging and stimulating activities planned in the home for our residents. We aim to create memorable moments at Avocet Court.

Situated in a residential nook in Ipswich, our 115‑bedroom home is surrounded by beautiful gardens. As one of the top residential care homes, we provide exceptional standards of care. About the Role

The Activities Coordinator, known internally as Lifestyles Coordinator, will proactively engage with and support the activities programme in the home. You will ensure other team members and residents are informed and engaged in the activities programme.

Salary & Working Hours

£12.71 per hour. 37.5 hours per week, worked on a rota basis from Monday to Sunday.

Monmouth Close, Ipswich, England, IP2 8RS.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in the delivery of a meaningful, enjoyable, engaging and stimulating activities programme based on person‑centred care principles, involving all residents.
  • Champion person‑centred care with all team members to empower residents to make or continue making lifestyle choices relevant to them.
  • Actively engage with residents in conversations and meaningful occupation related to their lifestyle choices, respecting their dignity and communication differences.

Training, Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience organising and scheduling programmes of events or activities, ideally in a healthcare environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with a genuine passion for enhancing residents' lives.
  • Knowledge of dementia is highly advantageous.
  • Proven track record in leading, empowering, supporting and motivating a team.
