About Langdon House Care Home

Langdon House is an exceptional residential care home in Cambridge. We pride ourselves on our family‑feel, attractive gardens and providing outstanding care to each of our residents. We’re based in a quiet nook in Chesterton on the north‑eastern side of Cambridge, three miles from the city centre. Our home offers fantastic 24‑hour care to up to 51 residents.

About The Role

Reporting to the General Manager, the Registered Nurse will provide strong clinical knowledge and leadership to ensure the highest standards are achieved in the delivery of care within the home, including relationship‑centered care, clinical care and dementia care.

Salary: £22.71 per hour

Shift Pattern: 0‑hour contract offering up to 44 hours per week, 12‑hour shifts worked on a rota basis from Monday to Sunday.

Home Location: 20 Union Lane, Chesterton, Cambridge, CB4 1QB – 3 miles from the city centre.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Clinical Care Manager with the care delivery in the home, to ensure continuous assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of residents care.
  • Assist with ensuring care plans are regularly audited and that they are appropriate to the residents needs and reflect the care being delivered.
  • Actively engage with residents in meaningful occupation related to their lifestyle choices at a level and pace that values the individual and respects their dignity and communication differences.
  • Lead the clinical team to ensure they are aligned with the Athena vision and are operating from the Athena Charter.

Training, Skills & Experience Required:

  • Qualified and NMC registered RN, RMN or RNLD with 1 year post‑registration experience.
  • Proven track record leading, empowering, supporting and motivating a clinical team.
  • Experience delivering high quality relationship‑centered care.
