We're looking for someone to lead the next stage of our therapeutic journey at Athena Care Group.
We're recruiting a DASHH Therapeutic Team Manager to lead and develop our specialist therapeutic service across our children's residential homes.
Based in Llansamlet, Swansea, with travel across our services
This isn't simply about delivering therapeutic interventions.
We're looking for someone who can help ensure that trauma-informed, psychologically informed and relational practice becomes part of the everyday experience of the children we support.
You’ll lead our DASHH Therapeutic Team and work closely with our Home Managers, residential teams, operational leaders and external professionals – bringing therapeutic thinking into care planning, reflective practice and the day-to-day support children receive.
We'd particularly love to hear from someone who has:
- Experience leading or developing multidisciplinary teams
- A strong therapeutic, psychological, health or social care background
- Experience implementing or embedding trauma-informed models of care
- A good understanding of children's residential care and complex emotional and behavioural needs
- The ability to turn therapeutic theory into practical approaches that residential teams can understand and use
- A passion for developing people, practice and services
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who understands that therapeutic care isn't confined to a therapy room.
It is found in relationships, consistency, curiosity and the way we respond to children every single day.
