We are looking for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to become part of our Early Years team. Required from September 2026, we wish to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated, flexible individual to join Team Athelstan.

Responsibilities

  • Support groups of children or individuals, inside and outside the classroom.
  • Enthuse, inspire and motivate children to learn.
  • Commit to the educational and social development of children and raise their attainment.
  • Maintain a proven record of good or outstanding practice.
  • Work effectively as part of a team under instruction, using initiative and while working independently.

Qualifications

  • Excellent literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
  • NVQ Level 2 qualification or relevant experience (essential).
  • Experience with SEND (desired).
  • Experience working with Read, Write, Inc (desirable).

Contract Details

32.5 hours per week on a 39-week contract. Hours of work will be discussed at interview.
