Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret SRS/FRS requirement documents to build strong functional understanding of system modules and workflows.
- Design and maintain detailed test scenarios, test cases, and test data, ensuring complete requirement traceability.
- Execute manual testing across multiple test cycles, including Smoke/Sanity, Functional, Non-Functional, Regression, API, Database, and Performance testing, as per defined test plans.
- Log, track and manage defects end-to-end using tools such as Jira / Asana / Trello, ensuring accurate priority/severity classification and clear reproduction steps.
- Review and monitor application/server logs to support root cause identification and quicker issue validation.
- Manage and maintain key test artifacts such as test plans, test reports, defect summaries, and release sign-off documents, including preparation of release notes when required.
- Track defects throughout the development lifecycle and ensure timely closure through continuous follow-ups with development teams and stakeholders.
- Perform database validations using SQL queries, ensuring accuracy and integrity of backend data across workflows.
- Work extensively with XML/JSON configurations, including creation, validation, and refinement to support application testing.
- Actively participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-up, Sprint Planning, Refinement, Retrospective), supporting continuous improvement across SDLC/STLC.
- Act as a Quality Champion, proactively identifying risk areas, improving test coverage, and ensuring delivery quality.
- Support release activities for production deployments including fix packs, hotfixes, and patches, and provide troubleshooting support for client-reported issues.
- Deliver regular communication on testing progress, risks, milestones, and release readiness to ensure alignment across teams.
- Mentor and guide junior QA engineers/trainees, supporting onboarding, process adherence, and product knowledge.
