Job Description: Reporting to the Manager or designate, the Emergency Medical Services – EMT/PCP responds to emergency and non-emergency events, providing assessment, treatment, and transportation of ill or injured persons. Responsibilities are conducted in accordance with The Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations, Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (SCoP) Clinical Practice Protocols, The Paramedics Act and bylaws, and Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) policies, procedures, and work standards.

Qualifications:

• Primary Care Paramedic Certificate from an approved educational institute
• Valid Class 4 driver\’s license
• CPR, ITLS, and BLS Certificates

Skills and Abilities:

• Conflict resolution, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, listening, and basic computer skills
• Sound clinical judgment, resourcefulness, adaptability, decision-making, teamwork, knowledge of legislation, physical ability for emergency care, stress management, and familiarity with relevant laws
