Sonia Friedman Productions is seeking applications for an experienced Resident Director to work on the West End production of a new British musical.
Responsibilities
- Your duties and responsibilities will be those normally expected of a Resident Director on a first-class West End production.
- The Resident Director will work with the Director and Associate Director in delivering the creative vision of the production, as well as providing research and administrative support.
- You will support the Associate Director in leading understudy rehearsals and cover runs.
- You will provide strong support to the directing team, liaising between many different departments, so it is important you have good communication skills.
- Experience in working in Musical Theatre is essential.
- The Resident Director will be present throughout the entire rehearsals process from the start of rehearsals to the opening night.
- You will then continue with the production to regularly note the show each week, run understudy rehearsals with the Associate Director, and be present at key moments during the running of the production (for example, recasts).
