Part of the Technical Department, the Maintenance Supervisor supports the safe operation and upkeep of the building. The role reports to the Technical and Buildings Manager and works closely with all departments to carry out preventive maintenance (PPM), lead venue upkeep projects, and ensure compliance with ATG Entertainment’s Risk Management System and relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute PPM works and maintenance projects, including decorating, plumbing, carpentry, and other trades.
  • Lead and coordinate projects and maintenance tasks to agreed timescales and within budget.
  • Maintain an overview of housekeeping, recycling and refuse, and ensure high presentation standards.
  • Assist with weekly health & safety checks and record keeping for fire alarm, PAVA, sprinklers, generator, water management (legionella), HVAC systems, and other building systems.
  • Ensure reactive maintenance is addressed promptly alongside PPM works.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for external maintenance contractors and oversee their work.
  • Adhere to all health & safety procedures, manual handling training, PPE requirements, and attend relevant training courses.
  • Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Technical and Buildings Manager.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in venue or facilities maintenance.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Problem‑solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Computer literacy – Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Prior experience with DIY and/or trades.
  • Organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Commitment to high standards of work.
  • Working knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act.
  • Ability to work autonomously.

Desirable

  • First Aid at Work qualification.
  • Knowledge of Water Hygiene legislation.
  • Knowledge of BS7671 or BS7909.
  • Plumbing and carpentry skills.
  • Familiarity with BMS systems.
  • Experience in an entertainment venue or understanding of its operations.
