Sonia Friedman Productions is seeking applications for an experienced Sound No.2 for a new production of Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, directed by Marianne Elliott.
Duties and responsibilities will be those normally expected of a Sound No.2 on a first-class West End production. Candidates should demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to support and deputise for the Head of Sound. Candidates should be able to work calmly and efficiently under pressure as well as having strong organisational and time management qualities to ensure that the production runs efficiently and smoothly and the sound design is maintained. Previous experience in a similar role on a large-scale/West End production is essential.

- Start Date: Monday, 14th September 2026
- Job Location: West End London
- Contract Type: Fixed term until Saturday, 19th December 2026, subject to two weeks’ notice by the Producer as per the SOLT/BECTU Agreement.
- Salary: Weekly rate as per SOLT/BECTU Agreement.
- Weekly Hours: 6 day working weeks (Monday to Saturday); 8 shows per week plus maintenance and understudy calls.
