Sonia Friedman Productions is seeking applications for a full-time, experienced Deputy Head of Wigs, Hair and Make-up (WHAM) to work on the West End production of The Cherry Orchard by Anton Chekhov, adapted by Conor McPherson and directed by Ian Rickson for the Harold Pinter Theatre.
Candidates should demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to support and deputise for the Head of Wigs, Hair and Make-up. Candidates should be trained in styling Afro-textured hair and have good practical knowledge and understanding of protective hairstyles, as well as having experience of barbering. Experience on a large-scale production is essential.

- Start Date: Monday, 28th September 2026
- Job Location: West End, London
- Contract Type: Fixed term until Saturday, 9th January 2027, subject to two weeks' notice by the Producer as per the SOLT/BECTU Agreement.
- Salary: Weekly rate as per SOLT/BECTU Agreement.
- Weekly Hours: 6 day working weeks; Alternating 7/8 shows per week plus maintenance and understudy calls.
