Client Overview
The client is a female living with Alzheimer’s disease and has recently returned from a care home. She is mobile and enjoys walking indoors, often wandering around the hallway, so supervision and safety awareness are essential. She is non‑verbal and communicates through sounds and mumbling. She requires patient, attentive, and respectful support throughout the day.
Responsibilities
- Full assistance with personal care (washing, dressing, hygiene)
- Support with incontinence care
- Meal preparation and assistance with eating
- Encouraging fluid intake (she can hold a cup but cannot use utensils and eats with her fingers)
- Supervision during movement and walking around the home
- Providing companionship and ensuring safety at all times
