Atelier Gooch is seeking a senior architect to join its team in London. As part of a small studio, you will be involved in all aspects of the practice, from delivering prestigious projects and bidding for new work to undertaking site reviews. The ideal candidate will be passionate about design, organised, self-motivated, and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team. Candidates should have a proven track record of communicating ideas effectively and be able to demonstrate the ability to resolve technical issues, work across all RIBA work stages, and possess a strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations. The role involves liaising with clients, consultants, planners, and construction teams, so you should be confident, professional, approachable, and an effective team player.
Key requirements
- ARB-registered architect with at least three years’ post-Part 3 experience
- Knowledge and experience of working with local planning authorities with an excellent understanding of UK building and planning regulations
- Strong technical skills including experience in producing and coordinating technical drawings for tender and construction
- Ability to coordinate, manage and liaise effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and the internal design team
- On-site experience in taking a project through the construction stage, including identifying solutions to on-site issues, and ensuring overall design intent
- Proficiency in Vectorworks and Adobe Creative Suite is highly desirable
- Knowledge of NBS specification writing
