Role Requirements & Responsibilities

The Fleet Supervisor maintains and oversees the company’s fleet and equipment to ensure that a workspace is safe and functional. Responsibilities include:

  • Schedule routine maintenance, plan new projects and perform emergency repairs.
  • Report to the Fleet Manager on fleet-related reports based in Dublin.
  • Coordinate vehicle dispatching and scheduling to optimize efficiency.
  • Ensure fleet vehicles are available to meet operational demands.
  • Track vehicle movements and fuel consumption.
  • Monitor driver activities and enforce company policies.
  • Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure all vehicles comply with legal, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Keep accurate records of vehicle inspections, registrations, and insurance.
  • Work with mechanics and external vendors for repairs and servicing.
  • Monitor fuel usage and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Manage maintenance and repair expenses within budget.
  • Assess and recommend vehicle purchases or leasing options.
  • Monitor driver performance and provide feedback.
  • Ensure drivers maintain proper licences and certifications.
  • Maintain logs of vehicle usage, maintenance, and fuel expenses.
  • Use fleet management software for tracking and reporting.

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate will be required to possess and demonstrate:

  • Previous operational experience of fleet in a logistics environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Time management skills with the competence to manage multiple priorities at once.
