The organisation operates cloud-native platforms used by a large and diverse customer base and is continuing to invest heavily in AI-enabled capabilities across its core products.
This role sits within a product-led engineering team focused on applying AI and Generative AI to real-world business problems. You’ll work on large-scale systems where impact is measured by outcomes, not output.
You will:
- Design and engineer large-scale, production-grade systems (5+ years’ experience)
- Focus on business impact rather than lines of code
- Embrace DevOps culture: you build it, you run it
- Work effectively in cross-functional, autonomous teams
- Mentor other engineers and help raise the bar across the team
- Prefer simple, pragmatic solutions over unnecessary complexity
- Stay effective and organised in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
- Think broadly about how technical decisions affect the wider business
- Leverage Generative AI tools to improve productivity and decision-making
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience building AI or LLM-powered applications
- Knowledge of NLP or intelligent document processing
- Familiarity with vector databases (e.g. Pinecone, Weaviate)
- Experience with search platforms (e.g. OpenSearch, Elasticsearch)
- Exposure to agentic workflows or orchestration frameworks
- Aware of MCP (Model Context Protocol)
