About The Role
OCS Projects is looking for an experienced National Pre-Construction Manager to join our Manchester Hub Leadership Team and expanding National Pre-Construction function.
Reporting to the Pre-Construction Director, you will lead pre-construction, client development and bid activity across key national accounts, including the BBC, Home Office and other strategic customers.
You will work closely with clients, FM Account Teams and Project Delivery Teams to identify, develop and convert project opportunities while supporting the continued growth of OCS Projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop strong relationships with clients and senior stakeholders across strategic national accounts.
- Identify and develop project opportunities arising from existing FM contracts and framework agreements.
- Support the mobilisation and growth of project services across major contracts.
- Establish and maintain project pipelines, forecasts and account growth plans.
- Lead opportunity reviews and ensure resources are focused on commercially viable projects.
- Coordinate project briefs, technical requirements, risk reviews and proposed solutions.
- Lead bids, proposals, presentations and multidisciplinary bid teams.
- Manage opportunities from initial identification through to tender, award and handover.
- Support the development of consistent pre-construction processes and best practice across regional teams.
- Provide accurate client and business reporting on pipeline performance and opportunity conversion.
About You
You will have
- Significant experience in pre-construction, bid management, business development or client relationship management.
- Experience developing strategic client relationships and influencing senior stakeholders.
- A proven ability to lead complex bids, proposals and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong commercial awareness and project coordination skills.
- Excellent communication, reporting and presentation abilities.
- A proactive, organised and customer-focused approach.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience is desirable. An APMP, PRINCE2, APM, CIM or similar qualification would also be advantageous.
