About The Role
Multi-Skilled Commercial Gas Engineer - AC Experience
Location: Mobile role covering Edinburgh, Midlothian, West Lothian and Fife Salary: £42,000–£45,000 per annum
OCS is looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Commercial Gas Engineer with air-conditioning experience to join our mobile engineering team.
You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of commercial properties, ensuring that all equipment remains safe, compliant and fully operational.
This is a mobile position covering Edinburgh, Midlothian, West Lothian and Fife.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on commercial gas and heating systems.
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
- Service and maintain boilers, burners, heating systems and associated plant.
- Support the servicing, maintenance and repair of air‑conditioning systems.
- Carry out fault‑finding on split and multi‑split systems, VRV/VRF equipment, AHUs and FCUs.
- Ensure all air‑conditioning work and refrigerant records comply with F‑Gas regulations.
- Complete statutory inspections and compliance‑related work.
- Accurately record all completed work and update relevant job‑management systems.
- Identify additional works and report any risks or defects.
- Liaise professionally with customers, colleagues and subcontractors.
- Work in accordance with health and safety requirements and company procedures.
- Participate in the on‑call rota when required.
About You
- Recognised qualification in commercial gas, heating or a related mechanical discipline.
- Current commercial gas qualifications.
- Experience maintaining commercial heating and gas systems.
- Practical experience working with air‑conditioning equipment.
- Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently across a mobile portfolio.
- Good communication and customer‑service skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Recognised F‑Gas qualification.
