About The Role
Main Purpose
- Responsible and accountable for the profitable and operational management and service delivery of the FES Lifecycle and Projects to meet the business and contract objectives.
- Create and sustain a cohesive, cost-effective team for the service delivery of the FES Lifecycle Plans and delivery of project works.
- Interfacing with clients to ensure the satisfactory service delivery of the contract deliverables.
- Identify organic and new business opportunities.
- Requires full understanding of the contractual conditions in which their respective contracts operate.
- Should possess a high level of technical competence in all Built Environment issues.
- Responsible for gathering of Project and actual condition information, collation of information in the required format, and is ultimately responsible for reviewing the Lifecycle Project delivery plan, in agreement with all parties, and managing through acceptance procedures of project Co(s).
- Assist with tendering and pricing of new works.
- As a member of the SEBU management team, make a broad and powerful contribution across all aspects of the SEBU.
- Motivated and detail-oriented approach to planning, execution, and delivery of projects across various phases to deliver on time and on budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and execution of account management plans, operational programmes and Lifecycle Planners.
- Create and sustain a cohesive, cost effective team for the delivery of contracts/projects under your control.
- Responsibility for all day to day management, control, co-ordination, execution of all operations under your control.
- Ensuring that project/minor works are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality levels.
- Carry out weekly team review meetings.
- Maintain Project trackers.
- Cost management of all Lifecycle and projects working with the Commercial team.
- Client satisfaction and the quality of service provided.
- Ensuring, demonstrate, review and monitor compliance, to meet the expectation and needs of the Client, the organisational goals of the company and satisfy the requirements of IS0 9001, 14001, 50001 & OHSAS 18001.
- Productions of reports at regular intervals determined by Project, detailing physical and financial progress, including monitoring of specification by key performance indicators.
- Actively demonstrate performance utilising internal/external benchmarking processes to develop areas for continuous improvement.
- Provision of technical advice and problem solving function.
- Act as main point of contact between the SEBU and head office Lifecycle team, to include attendance at Regional Lifecycle and SEBU meetings.
- Responsible for ensuring the Lifecycle delivery program is delivered and approved by clients.
- Responsible for review of all site information, and where necessary cascading information to the Facilities Cad technician for update of records.
- Accountable and responsible for all defects management related activities, including issuing, monitoring and managing the process through to completion/sign off.
- Responsible for all Site Condition survey related work, and creation of report, investigations and identification of required works, including specifications through to agreement with units.
- Responsible for compiling the annual Lifecycle report identifying works, site specific constraints, specification, quantification and proposed costs for internal sign off on funding, and issue of the agreed information to the client.
- Responsible for gaining agreement of Lifecycle Plan with Client.
- Responsible for ensuring any variations are identified and agreed.
- Responsible for collating and issuing any Pre Construction Information under CDM.
- Responsible for tendering process and contractor selection, in agreement with the BU & site team.
- Responsible for monitoring works progress with local teams, regular reporting on progress, and fully involved with works completion sign off procedure.
- Attend and/or substitute for Lifecycle at any Bid/Design related forums.
- Continually reassess currently available products and equipment and carry out WLC related studies where required, including issuing findings.
- Responsible for the escalation of any non-conformance issues observed.
- Responsible for ensuring all As Built records are current, complete and up to date.
- Tracks performance of consultants/subcontractors and takes appropriate action.
Essential Hiring Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project management.
- Current SMSTS certificate.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello, or similar).
- Having excellent computer/IT skills and proven knowledge of CAFM systems.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Maintain up to date and sound knowledge of industry best practices and developments in operational and facilities management.
- Sound technical knowledge of facilities and building services.
- Strong asset management knowledge and experience of condition-based assessments.
- Liaising with FES FM helpdesk and Client helpdesk on related work.
- Communicating clearly, effectively and timeously with customers and colleagues alike.
- Demonstrating sound contract management capability and pro-active attitude.
- The ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight guidelines.
- Proven track record in collating lifecycle/CAPAX plans and delivering on time and within budget.
- Encourages the team to create solutions that go beyond the immediate needs to add value to the customer and business.
