Our client is one of the UK's premier manufacturers, recognised as a market leader in their field. With a turnover of over £1 billion, they supply top-tier products to all major supermarkets and offer both own label and branded items. The business has grown significantly, both organically and through strategic acquisitions. Currently, they are expanding their engineering team to support their continued success, with a strong focus on internal and external training and development.
The Maintenance Manager will have full responsibility for leading and developing an established team of engineers. You’ll work in a dynamic environment, driving continuous improvement initiatives, managing third-party contractors, and supporting projects with your technical expertise. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team of engineers
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement, enhancing asset reliability
- Ensuring compliance with audits and PPMs through accurate data recording via a CMMS database
- Managing third-party contractors and setting clear expectations for their work
- Assisting with short and long-term engineering projects, providing technical insights
- Identifying and driving cost-saving initiatives across the site
- Managing team performance through KPIs and regular reviews
- Building strong working relationships across technical, production, hygiene, and H&S teams
To be successful in your application for this Maintenance Manager role, you will need:
- Experience as a Maintenance Manager, preferably in engineering, manufacturing, or FMCG environments
- A relevant Engineering qualification
