Our client delivery bespoke projects for the food, beverage and other process sectors working very closely with a number of blue chip manufacturing companies throughout the UK.

The business employ 150 staff in the UK with a turnover of £20 million and a near 50 year trading history with a pride for excellence in project delivery.

The business is currently looking to add a talented Senior Project Engineer to their team to work with one of their key customers based in Slough.

The business delivers a wide range of projects at their customers site and are looking for a Project Engineer who can lead and manage these projects at site and continue to build on their strong relationship with their customer.

The Role

The role of Senior Project Engineer will see you act as the lead for the client for projects taking place at site.

The projects include the design, manufacture and installation of process lines at the customer site.

Our client don't manufacture the equipment themselves but do act as integrator for the whole project.

A typical project could be worth £1 million and would require our client to provide the mechanical, electrical and software design for the layout, procurement of equipment required for the project and the management at site of the installation and delivery.

The project will involve

  • Producing project quotation for the customer from tender
  • Producing programme of work for the project
  • Liaison with internal mechanical, electrical and software design ensure design requirements for project are understood.
  • Sourcing providers for mechanical and electrical equipment for project as well as any site civil works required.
  • Managing any variations to order with the customer through the project.
  • Ensuring all paperwork is in place to carry out site work
  • Ensuring day to day at site that the installation and commissioning of equipment is being delivered to correct layout and timescales.
  • To ensure all site work is adhering to H&S requirements.
  • There will be typically 6-10 tradesmen at site for a project of this size who will have a foreman at site.

Depending upon the size of projects you're running you may have multiple projects you are overseeing at the same time.
