A bespoke machinery manufacturer with an almost 30-year history of supporting the global manufacturing market is looking to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer with immediate effect.
The role will involve operating as a sole contributor for electrical design, working closely with mechanical, controls, and commissioning to develop bespoke machinery. You will be the subject matter expert for Electrical Design and will:
- Design and develop electrical systems for automated, PLC-controlled machinery.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
- Integrate electrical designs with mechanical and control systems, including Siemens PLCs, drives, and industrial automation components.
- Specify and implement industrial safety circuits, safety relays, and related safety devices.
- Support projects through collaboration, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting to ensure successful delivery and manufacturability.
To be successful in your application, you will need:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A proactive, continuous improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency and quality.
- A solid understanding of wiring schematics, panel layouts, and PLC equipment.
- Knowledge of technical drawings, three-phase power distribution, Ethernet networks, and industrial communications systems.
