Role: Trainee Maintenance Engineer Location: Northampton Shifts: Double Days Salary: £35,000, Development and Training + 30 days holiday with options to purchase more The Company: ATA Recruitment are proud to be working exclusively with one of the largest automation companies in the world. Currently operating in over 15 countries with 200+ sites across the world. Currently the company has a global turnover of over £4bn and they are looking to drive their company into the growing automation industry in the UK. At this site in the UK they are looking to become the flagship site for the UK as they grow and become more established. The site is in the early stages but there has already been over £15 million invested into the site alone so far with some mega plans in 2025 including the implementation of the CMMS system and they are looking to launch Phase 1-7 in Q1 alone! To help the growth of the site they are looking to hire a Maintenance Engineer. The Role: As a Trainee Maintenance Engineer you will: – Be responsible for the machinery and automation of the equipment on site. Including pneumatics, hydraulics, bagging machines, hanging garment systems, steam tunnels plus all new machine purchased and installed – The potential onsite to go on internal and external training all paid for by the business – Mechanical responsibilities include working on bearings, rollers, shafts, pulleys and the boiler system (after training) – Electrical responsibilities include general understanding of safety, basic fault finding and component identification – Using hand tools, doing PPMs, Daily checks on machinery – Support Maintenance Engineers on shift and help them as efficiently as possible The Candidate: As a Trainee Maintenance Engineer we are looking for: – A proactive engineer who is looking to grow their skillset and also get involved in projects – Someone who is confident working electrically and mechanically – Ideally has some experience in some fast moving environment Salary and Benefits: As a Trainee Maintenance Engineer you will get: – An annual salary of £35,000 – 30 days holiday + Option to buy more – Training provided within in various responsibilities and Upskilling for your future with the business – This includes NVQ Level 3, BOAS and qualifications to help engineers Multi skill – all external training stay away will be paid and expensed by the company – Potential progression within this site and the UK ATA is committed to creating a diverse workforce and is an equal opportunities employer.
