A UK-based specialist in industrial electrical and automation solutions is looking for an experienced Electrician to join a major conveyor installation project at a new distribution centre. Known for delivering end-to-end services—from design and installation to commissioning and maintenance—the company works across manufacturing, logistics, and material handling sectors. This role is a 3–6 month contract, offering a 50/50 split between hands-on electrical installation and overseeing quality control, including inspections, and signoffs. Experience with Dematic systems is a necessity.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carry out electrical installation and wiring for conveyor systems and related machinery
- Oversee installation work to ensure it meets quality standards and project specifications
- Perform inspections and sign off completed electrical work
- Ensure adherence to installation methodologies and safety protocols
- Containment and wiring as needed
- Use iPads and IT tools to document and report on work progress
The Successful Candidate Requires:
- Experience working with Dematic conveyor systems
- Electrical qualification or apprenticeship
- Valid ECS or CSCS card
- Experience signing off electrical work (desirable)
- Computer literate
- High attention to detail
