The Company

Our client operates a large safety-critical industrial facility with >100 storage assets. With a strong turnover of over £100 million, they rent space to companies to store material in bulk quantities. Our client has a solid maintenance function with a supportive environment, and they are currently looking for a Health and Safety Supervisor to add to their team! Our client has a clear, structured plan to invest £10 million in upgrading their equipment, facilities and to make way for Continuous Improvement projects!
The Role
As a Health and Safety (SHEQ) Supervisor, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Actively scanning for any health and safety issues on site, acting accordingly including investigating or even stopping work completely if unsafe
- Work collaboratively with the Compliance Manager to identify which policies need to be updated in accordance with UK law
- Ensure work is conducted in line with ISO 9001 and other key regulations
- Supervise training and inductions relating to Permit to Work processes
- Communicate enhanced internal SHEQ policies to all senior managers
About You
The ideal Health and Safety (SHEQ) Supervisor will have the following:
- A recognised health and safety qualification
- Experience working with a COMAH site is very beneficial, though not essential
- A sound understanding of health and safety principles
- A nature Continuous Improvement mindset
