Develop the maintenance department from scratch – This will be your project. Joining a small but ambitious team with exciting plans. Opportunity to work within the highly resilient metal processing market. Work for a general manager who provides trust and flexibility to their employees.

ATA are working with a growing business operating within the scrap metal industry, where they buy, shred and repurpose copper wiring and other metals. They form part of a larger group of 10 sites, turning over £54 million per annum. This facility ranks among the top three highest-volume processing sites in the UK from a single location.

This role is perfect for an ambitious Senior Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager seeking the opportunity to shape a maintenance function as their own. You'll be given the autonomy to build the department from the ground up—designing and implementing the PPM strategy, developing and mentoring the engineering team, and setting the culture, standards, and processes that will underpin future growth and performance.

About you

  • Experience working within a similar capacity.
  • Managing small maintenance teams.
  • Creating documentation, SOP, Risk assessments.
  • Creating PPMs.
  • Training and development of engineers.
  • Creating stores systems.

You should also be mechanically trained and happy to pitch in on the tools when required.
