The Role
As a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly while contributing to continuous improvement across the site. Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on modern production equipment
- Working on three-phase motors and electrical control systems (sensors, relays, contactors, inverters, etc.)
- Fault-finding using electrical schematics and test equipment (e.g. multimeters)
- Mechanical maintenance including conveyors, bearings, rollers, and gearboxes
- Maintaining and repairing pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Supporting occasional strip-down and rebuild projects
- Using a CMMS system (tablet-based) for PPM and reactive maintenance tasks
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
The Person
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A recognised engineering qualification (ideally electrical)
- Proven maintenance experience in an industrial environment (e.g. FMCG, manufacturing, food & beverage, packaging, utilities)
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills with a focus on root cause analysis
- PLC experience (advantageous but not essential)
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
