The Company
My client is a well-known and leading manufacturer of light to medium machines supplying directly into industries such as Food, Medical and Building Materials which is part of a £500m group.
Due to continued growth of the business, there is now a rare opportunity for a skilled Sales Engineer to take over a well-established area of the North of the UK with huge opportunity to grow and develop some exciting client relationships.
The Role
This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious, driven individual looking for a challenging and rewarding step up in their established sales career. It will be your job to source and convert new business opportunities by utilising industry knowledge and/or existing relationships within various FMCG/Food markets.
You will conduct proactive, key account management and prospecting of all existing and new clients, looking for cross selling opportunities within product range, etc.
Working within a team of eight, you will report directly to the Sales & Service Manager and be working individually, and alongside the external sales and service team members, and internal customer service representatives.
Key responsibilities:
- Sales of industrial bagging systems to target markets
- New business development
- Management of existing clients
- Facilitating customer demonstration
- Territory planning
The Person
To be successful in your application for this Area Sales Engineer role you will need to:
- Track record in business development sales and or account management with a desire to be field based
- A proven track record in selling capital Equipment or Engineering capital equipment services
- Technical capabilities by experience not necessarily a qualification
- Good IT skills
- Willing to travel extensively across the North
