Site Supervisor / Engineer – (Food and Beverage Sector) £300 - £325 per day – Outside IR35 (Limited Co) – Head Office in Lincolnshire, sites in North Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Berkshire.
Contract Length – 12-months
My client is looking to appoint a Site Supervisor / Engineer for an initial 12-month contract. My client designs and builds hygienic food & drink processing and Cleaning In Place (CIP) systems. They are involved from the design of a new food process plant to the installation of pipework and anywhere else in between.
The successful Site Supervisor / Engineer will be responsible for the control of preliminary site works such as clearing obsolete plant and equipment and installing new pipe work, bracketry and electrical wiring and panels. After the installation phases, there will be an intense installation and commissioning period coordinating direct trades and other trades simultaneously.
You will be responsible for the following:
- Organise site labour, organise site contractors
- Liaise day to day with client and control permits
- Write risk assessments
- Organise materials and other logistics, keep site labour fully utilised
- Maintain site discipline
- Keep the Technical Director and Commercial Director up to date with project progress
- Liaise with the client on a weekly basis
- Forecast labour requirements
- Forecast material requirements
- Organise access equipment hire and rental
The candidate must possess the following skills, qualifications and experience:
- Site Supervisor experience working across mechanical and electrical projects in a food and beverage environment
- Experience of CIP (Cleaning in Place) systems
- Project Engineer experience in a food and beverage environment
- Experience of managing multiple operatives
- Qualified in a technical discipline
- SMSTS
- First aid
