PLC Programmer (Water background essential)
Locations: Yateley
Hours: Monday–Thursday 08:30–17:15, Friday 08:30–16:00 On-Site
Contract Length: Initial 6 Months
Rate: £40.00 – £45.00 per hour
Our client deliver complex control system integration projects across the UK. They are looking for a Lead Project Engineer/PLC Programmer to join the team and lead the delivery within the water sector.
The Role
They are currently seeking a Lead Project Engineer/PLC Programmer with strong expertise in PLC programming, particularly using Allen Bradley (Rockwell Automation) platforms, to join their dynamic and growing project team. They will play a vital role in delivering industrial automation solutions, supporting the development of PLC-based control systems.
Key Responsibilities
- PLC programming using Rockwell/Allen Bradley platforms (e.g., RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000).
- Provide technical expertise and support to project teams and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Mentor junior engineers and support their technical development.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality control system solutions.
- Produce clear and accurate technical documentation and specifications
Required Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience with PLC programming, ideally Rockwell Automation / Allen Bradley platforms.
- Proficiency with tools such as RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, and associated HMI/SCADA systems.
- Strong understanding of industrial automation and control systems.
- Excellent documentation skills and the ability to write clear, accurate technical specifications.
- Strong communication and team collaboration abilities.
- Full UK Driving Licence and eligibility to work in the UK.
