As Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing a well-established engineering team while driving reliability, performance, and continuous improvement across the site. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, coaching, and developing a team of engineers to achieve operational excellence.
  • Driving a culture of continuous improvement and asset reliability across the engineering function.
  • Ensuring all maintenance activities, audits, and PPM schedules are accurately recorded and completed to the highest standard.
  • Managing departmental budgets and identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Overseeing third-party contractors and ensuring compliance with site standards and expectations.
  • Providing technical engineering expertise to support both short- and long-term capital projects.
  • Leading root cause analysis activities to eliminate recurring issues and improve plant performance.
  • Managing team performance through KPIs, objective setting, and regular performance reviews.
  • Building strong cross-functional relationships with Production, Technical, Hygiene, and Health & Safety teams.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in a Maintenance Manager or Senior Engineering Leadership position.
  • Previous experience within a food manufacturing environment.
  • A recognised engineering qualification.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement, reliability, and engineering best practice within a manufacturing setting.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
