Maintenance Engineer

The Company
We are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer on behalf of a market‑leading automation and logistics business operating within a highly automated distribution environment.
The organisation is a well‑established international engineering business that continues to experience sustained growth year on year.
They provide automated material handling and warehouse solutions to some of the UK's most recognisable retail and e‑commerce brands.

Their facilities utilise a range of advanced automation technologies including shuttle systems, robotics, automated storage solutions, conveyors, and high‑speed material handling equipment.
The Role
- Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on a range of automated equipment.
- Maintaining and fault‑finding on conveyors, automated storage systems, robotics, and associated machinery.
- Replacing and repairing mechanical components including bearings, rollers, pulleys, belts, and pneumatic equipment.
- Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults using electrical drawings and testing equipment.
- Utilising a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) to record maintenance activities and manage workloads.
- Completing mechanical and electrical component replacements and assisting with equipment rebuilds where required.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to maximise equipment reliability and performance.
- The Person
- A recognised engineering qualification.
- Previous maintenance experience within manufacturing, production, distribution, logistics, or automated warehousing environments.
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault‑finding skills.
Ex‑forces engineers (Navy, Army, RAF) are encouraged to apply.
