Maintenance Engineer, £41,500, Bottesford, Leicestershire, Double Days. 6am – 2pm, 2pm – 10pm, 8% bonus, 6% matched pension, private healthcare, 200 banked hours.

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for a maintenance engineer to join a large, well-invested state-of-the-art food production facility. Performing both planned and reactive maintenance. This is a high-performing facility with state-of-the-art machinery and an experienced engineering team. You'll benefit from an excellent rota that allows weekends off and no night shifts and enjoying long-term job security.

The Role

As a maintenance engineer, you'll work with a range of food production machinery including:

  • Packing machinery
  • Chopping, slicers
  • Forming machines, extruders, potters and kettles

You'll need to be confident working with both mechanical and electrical components.

The Person We're Looking For

To succeed in this role as a maintenance engineer, you'll need:

  • A strong background in mechanical and electrical maintenance within a manufacturing facility
  • Experience working on both mechanical and electrical components
  • Confidence with strip-downs, rebuilds, and reactive mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis
  • Apprenticeship trained or time served engineer
  • A proactive attitude and flexibility for overtime and development
