The RoleAs a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the repair, overhaul an refurbishment of hydraulic power units, hydraulic components and pneumatic components in the workshop,Other responsibilities will include, but not limiting to;Stripping down of hydraulic power units and componentsComponents include cylinder s, pumps, motorsSpecufying what's wrong with the components and providing written reportsRe-building and assembling hydraulic power units to go to customerPressure testing componentsBasic fabrications – welding of parts and machiningInspection of componentsUsing engineering drawings to follow assembly instructionsThe CandidateThe ideal Mechnical Fitter will have: Mechanical Engineering Qualification, ideally Level 3Hands-on experience working on mechanical and hydraulic systems. Mechanical stripping and re-building of equipmentPipefitting, pipe bending and basic electric awarenessFabrication, Fitting and Machining experienceA proactive attitude and the ability to work independentlyFlexible and able to work away occasionallyA willingness to learn and develop through ongoing trainingThe business is happy to consider experienced engineers, maintenance engineers with strong hydraulic systems or Fluidpower exposureATA is committed to creating a diverse workforce and is an equal opportunities employer.
