Role Overview
An established FMCG manufacturing operation is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to support a high-output, automated production environment. This position plays a key role in maintaining plant reliability, improving equipment performance, and supporting continuous production.
The role suits an engineer with a strong foundation in either mechanical or electrical maintenance, combined with the ability to fault-find across disciplines in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Key Duties & Responsibilities

Carry out planned, reactive, and condition-based maintenance on production and site equipment
*
Identify, diagnose, and rectify mechanical and electrical faults to minimize downtime
*
Support equipment improvements, upgrades, and reliability initiatives
*
Work closely with production teams to ensure safe and efficient operation
*
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and technical documentation
*
Adhere to health & safety, engineering standards, and site procedures
Skills & Experience Required
*
Previous experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role within FMCG or manufacturing
*
Practical fault-finding capability across mechanical and electrical systems
*
Confident working with technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
*
Competent with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
*
Proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
*
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
*
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
