An established FMCG manufacturing operation is seeking a
Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
to support a high-output, automated production environment. This position plays a key role in maintaining plant reliability, improving equipment performance, and supporting continuous production. The role suits an engineer with a strong foundation in
either mechanical or electrical maintenance , combined with the ability to fault-find across disciplines in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Key Duties & Responsibilities
Carry out planned, reactive, and condition-based maintenance on production and site equipment
Identify, diagnose, and rectify mechanical and electrical faults to minimize downtime
Support equipment improvements, upgrades, and reliability initiatives
Work closely with production teams to ensure safe and efficient operation
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and technical documentation
Adhere to health & safety, engineering standards, and site procedures
Skills & Experience Required
Previous experience in a
multi-skilled maintenance role within FMCG or manufacturing
Practical fault-finding capability across mechanical and electrical systems
Confident working with technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
Competent with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
Proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
