Mechanical Supervisor ** 6-Month initial contract Location: Wakefield Gross rate: £300-£320 per day DOE Limited Co. or CIS – Outside IR35 Food / Manufacturing / FMCG / Process My client is a leading UK engineering projects and installations company, managing large installs for major blue chips food & beverage manufacturers UK wide. They are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor, for a 6-month contract, with the likelihood of extension. You will oversee a small teams of installation engineers across based in the Northwest, within food process manufacturing. The Mechanical Supervisor position will include the following responsibilities: Supervising a team of installation engineers Oversee and assist with dismantling and re-installing equipment Ensure all pipework and process plant components are efficiently removed and organized for reinstallation Monitor project progress and order necessary parts and materials Ensure compliance with Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMs), and draft RAMs as needed Prepare reports and quotations for smaller customer projects (typically valued at £10k-£20k) Adhere to company standards and procedures in collaboration with management Focus on networking, expanding the site, securing projects, managing installations, and quoting jobs.
