About the company
We are supporting one of the country’s largest manufacturing groups at their flagship site in the north Leicestershire region. Established in the 60s and steeped in British history, our client employs over 2000 people across 15 manufacturing plants and is responsible for producing some of the UK’s best known and well‑loved products in their industry. This site, which has been standing in the heart of the community for 15 years, is a large fully automated production facility which is targeted to produce 105 million units per annum, a target they continue to successfully achieve.
About the role
As a maintenance engineer you will be responsible for maintaining automated machinery such as ABB & Fanuc controlled robotics, packaging lines, conveyors, mixing machinery, presses, kilns plus more!
- Planned preventive maintenance.
- Reacting to breakdowns and remedial repair work.
- Project work and installation.
- Mechanical fault finding.
- Mechanical strip and rebuild.
- Root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
About you
To be considered for this maintenance engineer role you should be/have the following:
- Experience working within a factory environment.
- Ability to fault find down to component level (Mechanical).
- Be comfortable working in an industrial environment.
- Be happy to work on a days and nights rotation.
- You should hold a recognised level 3 (or above) qualification city and guilds, NVQ, BTEC, HND, HNC.
